Stockwatcher ("we", "us") publishes a free market and macroeconomic dashboard at stockwatcher247.com. This page explains what data the site collects, why, and how you can remove it.

1. Information you provide

Creating an account is optional. Without one, your watchlist, holdings and display preferences stay only in your browser's local storage and are never sent to us.

If you choose to sign in, you can either:

• Email link — we receive the email address you enter, used only to send the sign-in link and identify your account.
• Google sign-in — Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us, as shown on Google's consent screen before you approve it.

Once signed in, we store the watchlist symbols, holdings (quantity, average price, purchase date) and display preferences you save, so they follow you across devices. We do not ask for or store passwords, brokerage credentials, or bank/payment information.

2. Information collected automatically

• Local storage — theme, refresh interval and other display preferences, and, for signed-out visitors, a local copy of the watchlist/holdings, kept only on your device.
• Optional Finnhub API key — if you add your own free Finnhub key for live quotes, it is stored only in your browser's local storage and used to call Finnhub directly from your browser. It is never sent to our servers.
• Analytics and advertising — the site uses Google Tag Manager and Google AdSense, which may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to measure site usage and show ads. Google's own use of this data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and, for ad personalization choices, Google Ads Settings.

3. How your data is used

Account data is used solely to operate the dashboard: authenticating you, syncing your watchlist/holdings/preferences across devices, and sending you a sign-in link by email when requested. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for purposes unrelated to running the service.

4. Who processes your data

• Supabase — hosts authentication and the database that stores your account's watchlist, holdings and preferences.
• Google — provides optional Google sign-in, and serves ads and basic analytics via AdSense and Tag Manager.
• Resend — delivers the sign-in link email on our behalf.
• TradingView / Finnhub — public market-data sources the dashboard reads from; they do not receive your account data. If you add your own Finnhub key, requests using that key go directly from your browser to Finnhub under Finnhub's own terms.

5. Data retention and deletion

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and the watchlist/holdings/preferences stored with it, email [email protected] from the address on your account and we will remove it. Clearing your browser's local storage removes any data kept only on your device (guest watchlist, theme, Finnhub key).

6. Children's privacy

Stockwatcher is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the service changes. Material changes will update the date above.
